About

We built Flop52 to make poker easier to learn.

Most places to play poker are built around deposits. We wanted somewhere to learn the game, practise it and see your progress with play chips, the way chess players can.

Why

Poker has no clear path for new players the way chess does.

Chess has a clear path from learning the rules to practising, playing, and getting a rating. We want that same sense of direction for poker.

On Flop52, lessons, puzzles, AI practice and your rating are connected, so a lost hand is something you can go back to and learn from.

Money

There's no real money on Flop52.

Rake is the cut a poker site takes from each pot. We don't take one. Chips are virtual and can't be bought, so there is nothing to deposit and nothing to cash out.

Principles

Three rules we hold to.

  • Teaching comes first

A course with a clear order, puzzles for the spots that come up most, and feedback that explains each decision. The foundation lessons are free.

  • A rating you can trust

Your Elo rating moves with your ranked results and accounts for how strong your opponents were. Nothing you can buy changes it.

  • No real money

Nobody makes money when you lose a hand. There is no buy-in, no rake and nothing to cash out.

Start with the first lesson.

It's free, and you can try a practice hand before you make an account.
